2. DEVELOP A BUDGET

ONCE YOU'VE DEVELOPED A PLAN, YOU'LL WANT TO TRANSLATE THIS DREAM TO A BUDGET.

We have outlined the three main budget components to ensure you plan for all aspects of the home building process. Land Cost is quite simply the price paid for the property where you plan to build your new home. Most new homeowners have already purchased their property when they visit with us. However, if you do not already own your land, we can assist you with locating the perfect piece of property.

House Cost is the overall price estimated to build your new home from the foundation up. As a custom home builder, we understand that each customer has individual preferences and desires in their home. Masterson Custom Homes will work with you to personalize the features in your home to suit your specific lifestyle and reach your budget goals. Following this discussion, we will then provide you with a detailed estimate of the house cost.

Site Cost refers to those items necessary to prepare your land for your new home. These vary by location and can include such items as lot clearing, septic and water wells, colverts, etc. Masterson Home Custom Homes will provide you with an itemized list of the costs after conducting your complimentary site evaluation.

3. CONTRACT PROCESS

AFTER DECIDING A BUDGET, WE'LL WORK WITH YOU TO COMPLETE THE MASTERSON CUSTOM HOMES BUYER-FRIENDLY CONTRACT PROCESS.

What that means to you is that unless you ask us to make changes to your home, the pricing will remain the same. There will not be any surprises to you during the construction of your home and the price you see in your bid will be the price you pay at the time you move in how is this different and better than most other builders? A fixed price gives you peace of mind that the cost will not change during construction. You may receive bids from other builders that have included just a list of allowances. Sometimes this practice is used in order to deflate the contracted price. The result is change orders during the build process that reflect actual cost. The buyer is then responsible for the difference. It is our mission to provide you only with allowances that you control. For example, lighting, hardware and appliances are all selected by you based on your budget. Our intent is for you to know your cost upfront!

4. SELECTION PROCESS

WE GIVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHOOSE YOUR FEATURES, FROM START TO FINISH.
